In 2012-2013 the Pepsi Tournament was changed to
an all scracth tournament, and we have heard people requesting something
for all skill levels of bowlers. We hope this tournament will fill that
void and help GROW THE SPORT.
The Pennsylvania State USBC Board is proud to announce a new tournament for
the 2015-2016 Season. The new tournament is tentatively called the
"Pennsylvania Handicap Scholarship Singles Tournament"
This new event was created to answer the request of adding Handicap to the
Pepsi Championships. The core of the Pepsi Championships must remain
scratch as this is the premier scratch event and a Junior Gold Qualifying
Event. To maximize the potential of entries and eligible bowlers who would
want to qualify in a handicapped event, a separate tournament was
necessary to create this opportunity.
