The application for the 2016 Star of Tomorrow Award is now available
online. The application has been streamlined and so has the evaluation
process to improve the program.
This award is to recognize youth bowlers who excel in many areas, not
just bowling. The evaluation includes: Academic Achievement, Bowling
Achievements, Leadership Roles, Non Sports Activities and Accomplishments,
Sports Participation, Volunteer and Community Service and the written
In 2012-2013 the Pepsi Tournament was changed to
an all scratch tournament, and we have heard people requesting something
for all skill levels of bowlers. We hope this tournament will fill that
void and help GROW THE SPORT.
The Pennsylvania State USBC Board is proud to announce a new tournament for
the 2015-2016 Season. The new tournament is called the
"Pennsylvania Handicap Scholarship Singles Tournament"
This new event was created to answer the request of adding Handicap to the
Pepsi Championships. The core of the Pepsi Championships must remain
scratch as this is the premier scratch event and a Junior Gold Qualifying
Event. To maximize the potential of entries and eligible bowlers who would
want to qualify in a handicapped event, a separate tournament was
necessary to create this opportunity.

2014-2015 USBC Year in Review
What will 2015-16 bring? In many cases it will bring what we are willing
to put into it and I'm confident you all are going to bring your best to
the table for the sport. Check out the video to reminisce on some of what

2015-2016 Board of Directors
At the Annual Meeting elections took place for President and 7
Directors. Deb Fields was re-elected as President. Direcors, Barb Bair,
Bill Keeney, Leo Kollar, Deb Lucks and Fred Lucks were re-elected.
Joining the board as new directors are Gregg Hoover and Shawn Pilyih.
All were elected to two year terms.
