Recap of annual meeting held on June 12, 2016

Elections – Fred Lucks was re-elected as Vice-President for another two-year term. Eight directors were elected also to a two-year term. They are: Andrea Andrzjewski, Tanya Bowman, Donna Gribble, Bonnie Keeney, Wanda Murray, Allen Paul, Laura Paul and Bev Williams. Congratulations to all.

2018 Tournament Sites: The Open Championships was awarded to the Greater Pittsburgh USBC Youth with the centers being Nesbit Lanes and New Great Valley Lanes. The State Pepsi and Handicap Singles Tournament was awarded to Berks Lanes in Reading PA.

The board on Saturday evening approved several changes to the tournaments. The changes for the Pepsi and Handicap Scholarship Singles are as follows:

The following changes were made to the Open Tournament:

Tournament Dress Code was also modified slightly, the words “loose fitting” have been removed from the requirement, the rest of the requirements remain in place. The new policy is posted on the site.

2016 Star of tomorrow award winners announced

The Pennsylvania State USBC Yoouth Association is proud to announce two winners for this years Star of Tomorrow Award. Each will receive a $2,000 scholarship and an award in recognotion of their contributions to the sport of bowling, their community and school. The winners are Wayne T Putnam from Cyclone PA and Hannah Schoeppner from Pittsburgh PA. To read their story, CLICK HERE
